Zelma "Ann" Annabelle (Barker) Mayse

ZELMA "ANN" ANNABELLE MAYSE, 86 of Sidney, passed away Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at 4:37 AM at her home, surrounded by her family. She was born on November 23, 1939 in, Sidney, the daughter of the late Herman and Florence (Robbins) Barker. On July 2, 1955, she married Walter J. Mayse Jr. who preceded her in death August 23, 2024.

Ann is survived by four children: Bob (Fran) Mayse of Houston, Randy Mayse of Wapakoneta, Dan (Angela) Mayse of Houston, and Brenda (Aaron) Barhorst of Minster, three siblings: Omer "Sonny" Barker of Kentucky, Patricia "Patsy" Spradlin of Kentucky, and Crystal "Chris" Kohne of Celina, nine grandchildren: Jasmine (Paul) Stammen, Jessica (Clay) Mekelburg, Amanda (Mike) Koenig, Andrew (Amber) Mayse, Adrian Mayse, Derrek (Katherine) Mayse, Drew Hanes, Cassidy (Brycen) Carle, and Brielle Barhorst, 22 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, daughter in law, Connie Mayse, and sister in law, Mildred Barker. She was preceded in death by son, Jim Mayse, and three siblings: Charles "Chuck" Barker, Bill Barker, and Margaret "Peg" Snapp.

Ann was a homemaker that enjoyed babysitting, painting and baking. Her chocolate chip cookies were highly requested by everyone she knew. Above all she loved spending time with her family.  She was a member of the Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall in Sidney.

In keeping with Ann's wishes, no services are to be held. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.
