Yvonne Cooper

YVONNE COOPER, 61, of Sidney, passed away at 10:30 A.M. Saturday, October 18, 2025 at her residence. She was born on January 23, 1964 in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of the late James “Jim” and Marcella (Ball) Hamblin.

On August 23, 2006 she married Walter Spence, who survives along with three children, Chris (Ashley) Cooper of Sidney, Sarah (Mike) Warner of Piqua, and Zack Spence of Celina; seven grandchildren, Urijah, Veyda, Allen, Liliana, Jordan, Amy, and Cody; four siblings, Tom (Deb) Hamblin, Gwen (Henry) Vanerlann, Leah (Greg) Cornett, and Mark Hamblin; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one son, Phillip Cooper.

Yvonne was a devoted fan of the Cincinnati Bengals and Ohio State football, rarely missing a game. Her love of music was wide-ranging. She enjoyed everything from country and classic rock to modern pop, and there was always a song playing wherever she was. A woman of strong faith, she believed deeply in God and was of the Baptist faith. Yvonne had a generous heart and was always ready to help her family and friends in any way she could. She cherished the companionship of her beloved dogs, Spike and Maddy, and her cat, Merlin. Above all, she treasured her family and found her greatest joy in spending time with her grandchildren. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday, October 23, 2025 at 12 P.M. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor Tommy Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens.
