William "Bill" Edward Dooley

WILLIAM "BILL" EDWARD DOOLEY JR., age 72 of Sidney, passed away Monday, December 18, 2023, at 9:24 PM at his home. He was born on August 22, 1951, in Linden, Michigan, the son of the late William Edward Sr. and Gloria (Duffey) Dooley.

On July 13, 1991 he married Marjorie "Margie" L. (King) who survives along with six children: Jennifer (Ron) Chambers, Christina (Dave) Romain, Julie (Butch) Forbush, Brie (Jovan) Blackwell, Jill Price, and Cindy (Matt) Smith, sister, Lisa P. Dooley, 14 grandchildren: Connor, Sophia, Kendal (Marcus), Owen, Wyatt (Char), Chloe, Gabriella, Steven, Davenie, Laila, Corbin, Cole, Olivia (Devin), and Mason, and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by sister, Maureen Gellings.

Bill retired as an engineer from GM. He was a member of Sidney First Methodist Church, and AA where he helped many people over the years. He was an avid Michigan State fan, loved fishing and cooking, and had a great sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Heartland Hospice for their care and compassion in Bill's final days.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday, December 22, 2023 at 12 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. David Chivington officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 11 AM until the time of service.
