William "Bill" Edward Boerger

WILLIAM “BILL” EDWARD BOERGER, 68, of Sidney, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. He was born on September 22, 1957 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Urban Aaron and Ruth Louise (Fogt) Boerger.

On August 10, 1991 he married the former Kris Ann Spencer, who survives along with one daughter, Emily Boerger of Troy, OH; two brothers, John (Liz) Boerger, and Tom Boerger, both of Sidney; two sisters-in-law, Amy (John) Morrow of Sidney, and Karen Brown of Cincinnati, OH; one brother-in-law Kenneth (Diana) Spencer of Sevierville, TN; mother-in-law, Frances Spencer of Jackson Center, OH; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews that he loved as though there were his own. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Kenneth Spencer.

Bill was a 1975 graduate of Fairlawn High School. He worked as an assembler for Monarch Lathes LP for nearly 35 years before retiring. He was an avid fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes, Cincinnati Reds, and Cincinnati Bengals. A history buff, Bill enjoyed visiting the Air Force museum and was also a model train enthusiast. He also had a special love for his dogs.

Bill greatly enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife of nearly 35 years. Their vacations often included trips to the beach, Disney World, and national parks throughout the western United States. Above all, Bill loved his family. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend who will be deeply missed by many.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 10, 2026 at 6 P.M. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor James Oates officiating.  Visitation will be on Friday, from 3 P.M. until the time of service.
