WILLIAM THOMAS “TOM” PIERCE, 90, of Sidney passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023 at 10:10 AM at his residence. He was born on February 22, 1933 in Valley Creek, Tennessee, the son of the late Fred and Sudie (Earls) Pierce. On February 18, 1957, Tom married the former Patricia Gunnoe, who preceded him in death May 15, 2019.
He is survived by daughter, Cheryl K. Pierce of Sidney and six siblings, Otis of Tennessee, Dorcel of Sidney, Harry of Sidney, Agnes “Ann” of Tennessee, Patricia of Tennessee and Carmella of Alabama. Tom was preceded in death by five siblings, Cecil, Patrick, Linda, Imojean and Betty Sue.
Mr. Pierce retired from Copeland Corporation working as a Group Leader. In his spare time, he enjoyed being in the outdoors fishing and hunting. Tom was very social and loved to tell stories. He also was always tinkering or fixing small engines.
A Graveside Service will be held Monday March 20, 2023 at 10:30 AM at Cedar Point Cemetery with Rev. Philip K. Chilcote officiating. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave Sidney. Condolences may be expressed to the Pierce family at our website, www.cromesfh.com
