Wayne E. Cavinder

WAYNE E. CAVINDER, age 60 of Sidney, passed away Saturday, May 14, 2022 at 3:20 AM at Hospice of Miami County. He was born on August 11, 1961 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Richard and Vera (Bevins) Cavinder. Later, Crata (Lawson) Cavinder became his beloved stepmom who also preceded him in death.

Wayne is survived by son, Tyler (Stephanie) Cavinder and granddaughter, Lydia of Sidney, former wife and special friend, Karen Larck of Sidney, brother, Steve (Brenda) Cavinder of Hopkinsville, KY, step-siblings, Kevin Stapleton of FL, and Connie (Ronnie) Morris of Sidney, sister-in-law, Carla Cavinder of Sidney, and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brother, Rick Cavinder. 

Wayne was a Fairlawn High School graduate. He worked at Wagner Ware in Sidney until it closed. He then went on to work at Kroger as a butcher. Later he was self-employed, and then enjoyed working for Ty as he started Cavinder Electric.

Wayne loved fishing, painting, and enjoying time with Ty, Stephanie, and Lydia. He enjoyed taking Lydia to the Shelby County Fair, shopping, or whatever his princess wanted to do, especially watching her play sports and dance. He also enjoyed seeing and hearing from his cousins and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2022 at 7 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Rev Eileen Hicks officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5 to 7 PM.
