VIRGIL FOSTER, 85, of Sidney passed away Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at 1:42 PM at Shelby Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born on February 19, 1937 in McCreary, Kentucky, the son of the late Hubert and Ada (Hickman) Foster. On November 2, 1963, Virgil married the former Revonda M. Goff, who preceded him in death February 6, 2013.
He is survived by two children, Darrell G. Foster and Duane (Kim) Foster both of Sidney; seven grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Faye (Tom) Reeder of Sebring, FL and Nellie Rittenhouse of Old Town, FL and sister-in-laws, Faye (Neal) Hubbard and Darlene (Monroe) Overbey both of Sidney. Virgil was preceded in death by three brothers, Johnny, Lawrence and Ledford, sister, Imogene Perry and brother-in-law, Jack Rittenhouse.
Mr. Foster retired after 15 years working for the former Sidney Aluminum as a Laborer. Virgil loved to garden and do woodworking. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. Virgil was a member of the former Full Gospel Community Church in which he was a "Fisher for Men for Jesus."
Funeral Services will be held Monday May 9, 2022 at 1:30 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave Sidney with Pastor Doug Thobe officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney, Ohio. Friends may visit from 11:30 AM up until the time of service at the funeral home.
