Vickie Lynn Hughes

VICKIE LYNN HUGHES, 71, of Sidney, passed away at 6:11 P.M. Thursday, October 16, 2025 at Miami Valley Hospital. She was born on August 19, 1954 in Monroe, Michigan, the daughter of the late John Adams and Arzella Mae (Owsley) Broyles.

On June 22, 1974, she married Leon James Hughes, who survives. She is also survived by her daughter, Crystal (Jerry) Harris of Sidney; four grandchildren, Aiden Stoehr, Bubby Harris, Adam Harris, and Justice Harris; her sister, Sharon Kay Thomas of Vandalia; her brother, Johnny Howard Broyles of Vandalia; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Vickie was a devout Christian whose faith guided her life. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother who found her greatest joy in her family, especially in doting on her grandchildren. She enjoyed shopping and staying connected with loved ones through social media. Above all, Vickie will be remembered for her kindness, her love for her family, and the warmth she shared with everyone who knew her.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 22, 2025 at 12 P.M. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor Jeff Hill officiating. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens.
