Velura Jayne Mayberry

Velura Jayne Mayberry, 84, of Sidney, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 5, 2025, at 5:47 AM at Ohio Living Dorothy Love. She was born on January 17, 1941, in Sidney, Ohio, to the late George E. and Coilah (Courter) Mayberry.

Velura is survived by her daughter, Cynthia (John) Schverak of Melbourn, FL; her brother, George Mayberry of Anna; her niece, Tonda Barrett of Bristol, IN; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles Mayberry.

A graduate of Sidney High School, Velura went on to pursue her passion for helping others and earned her degree to become a registered nurse. She was of the Baptist faith and found joy in exploring her ancestry and genealogy.

A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, February 14, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Houston Cemetery with Randy Reed officiating.
