Tove V. Russell

TOVE V. (DAVIS) RUSSELL, 70, of Sidney, passed away at 4:45 A.M. Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at her residence, surrounded by family. She was born on February 19, 1955 in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of the late Leonard and Patricia (Gross) Davis.

On June 29, 1974 she married Gary Russell, who survives along with their three children, Eric (Jodie) Russell, Sherry (Dale) Guinther, both of Sidney, and Kristy (Adam) Batchelder of Hollidaysburg, PA; eleven grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

Tove worked as a cook for Sidney City Schools for nearly 30 years. After retiring, she worked as a receptionist for Hair Company in Sidney.

Tove enjoyed researching her family genealogy, tending her flower and vegetable gardens, and keeping Gary “productively occupied” with projects and the occasional honey-do list. Their 51 years of marriage were marked by devotion, partnership, and plenty of laughter.

Tove was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints since 1979. Her faith was central in her life and so was her family. She loved having family around her and passionately supported them in their various pursuits.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, February 23, 2026 at 10 A.M. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Eric Russell officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cemetery. Visitation will be on Sunday from 1 to 3 P.M. Condolences may be expressed to Tove’s family at (www.cromesfh.com).
