Terry R. Sharp

Terry R. Sharp, age 68, of Sidney, passed away peacefully at 12:11 A.M. on Sunday, April 27, 2025, at Shelby Skilled Nursing and Rehab. He was born on February 9, 1957, in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Russell Howell and Jean Ann (Wade) Howell.

Terry is survived by his loving siblings: Jane (Bob) Wood, Tammy (Don) Wilson, and Lora Reineke, all of Sidney; and Jeff (Barb) Wita of Port Jefferson. He is also survived by his stepbrothers, Randy (Oretha) Howell of Troy and Craig Howell of Sidney. He was a beloved uncle to many nieces and nephews, who affectionately knew him as “Uncle T.” He was preceded in death by three brothers, Rick Sharp, Mike Wita, and Mark Wita.

Terry was a graduate of Sidney High School, class of 1975. He will be remembered for his warm heart, his easygoing nature, and his love of sports. Terry shared countless joyful moments with his nephews cheering on the WWF, NASCAR, and the Cincinnati Bengals. He was a member of Russell Road Church in Sidney.

Funeral services will be held at 12 P.M. on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, with Doug Leslie officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cemetery in Port Jefferson. Visitation will be from 11 A.M. until the time of service.
