Terry Allan Russell

Terry Allan Russell, age 78 of Anna, Ohio passed away on February 15, 2026 in Lima, Ohio.

Born on February 1, 1948 in Sidney, Ohio, he was a beloved son of Hap and Mary Russell.  He graduated from Sidney High School in 1966 and shortly after married the love of his life, Sue, on May 13, 1967.

Terry was a proud first-generation grain farmer who built his life with calloused hands, steady determination, and an unshakable faith in the land. Quick-witted and full of humor, he could lighten even the longest harvest day with a well-timed joke and a knowing smile. When he wasn't in the fields, Terry was an avid card player and could occasionally be found 'fishing'.

Though he worked tirelessly in the fields, it was his family who remained his greatest harvest and deepest joy. The legacy of Papoose lives on not only in the rows he planted and the soil he tended, but in the laughter, resilience, and love he sowed into all who knew him.

Terry is survived by his wife, Sue; two sons, Mark (Holly) Russell and Wayne (Beth) Russell; five grandchildren, Justin (Rachel) Russell, Abby (Jon) Minnich, Logan (Hailey) Russell, Tanner Russell and Meg Russell; nine great-grandchildren, Raegen, Charlie, Harper, Penelope, Nora, Elsie, Alba, Jemma, and Lily; three brothers, Steve (Ronda) Russell, Dave (Nancy) Russell, and Randy (Heather) Russell and one brother-in-law, Skip (Pat) Swank. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hap and Mary Russell and his in-laws, Lloyd and Jean Swank.

Funeral Services for Terry will be held Thursday, February 19, 2026 at 12:30 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Eric Jankowski officiating. Burial will follow at Pearl Cemetery in Swanders. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
