TEDDY GRANT WILLIAMSON, 71, of Sidney, passed away at 1:31 P.M. Thursday, January 30, 2025 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born on April 23, 1953 in LaFollette, Tennessee, the son of the late Ulysis and Gladys (Smith) Williamson. On August 1, 1980 he married the former Doris Myers. Although their marriage ended, their bond of friendship remained strong until Doris’s passing on December 16, 2019.
Teddy is survived by two daughters, Danielle (Anthony Hood) Williamson, and Rachel Williamson, both of Norfolk, VA; seven grandchildren, Veronica, Isaiah and Jordan Branch, Brandon Fisher, Ethan Rich, Alice and Cassandra Hood; nine siblings, Dorothy Heatherly, Dian Sekosan, Linda (Mike) Allen, Keith (Joan) Williamson, Terrie Stockton, Kathy Gussler, Sandie Ivey, Johnnie (Chantel) Steele, and Michael (Chelly) Williamson. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Alice Williamson.
Teddy proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. He loved the outdoors, whether hunting, fishing, or riding his beloved Harley Davidson, something he continued to enjoy until his health no longer allowed it. Teddy was also an avid gamer, and it was often said that when the kids were younger, friends would visit not to spend time with the children, but to share in gaming sessions with Teddy. His warm heart, humor, and kindness made him deeply loved by all who knew him, and he will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
A Funeral Service to celebrate Teddy's life will be held on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at 12 P.M. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, where the family will eulogize and invite those who knew Teddy to join in sharing memories and honoring his legacy. Burial with military honors provided by the United States Navy will follow at Graceland Cemetery. Visitation will be on Thursday from 10 A.M. until the time of service.
