Sylvia D. Elmore

Sylvia D. Elmore 94 passed away on Wednesday, June 6 surrounded by her loving family at The Landings of Sidney. She was born January 11, 1930 to the late Carl and Oma (Tarter) Daulton of Somerset, KY.

Sylvia is survived by five sons: Thomas Ward, Ronnie (Susan) Elmore, Tim (Janine) Elmore, Chris Elmore, and Phillip (Penny) Elmore, son-in-law C. David Bishop, 14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and sister Norma Jean Slusser.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ray Elmore, her daughter Carol (Ward) Bishop, five brothers and nine sisters.

Sylvia was a faithful member of Northtowne Church of God in Sidney. She had a strong dedication to her faith and loved attending various church functions. Her happiness was seeing her children active in the church. She loved spending time with her family at gatherings and was famous for her beef and noodles. Sylvia retired from the Stolle Corporation after 26 years of service. Sylvia’s family would like to give special thanks to  Barb, Megan and Jessica and all the caregivers who were a blessing to our family during this time.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at 12:00 PM (Noon) at Northtowne Church of God with Pastor Carl McNeill officiating. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens.  Visitation will be on Tuesday 10:00 AM until time of service at the church.
