Susan Lynn Minniear

SUSAN LYNN MINNIEAR, 76, of Sidney passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021 at her residence. She was born on November 5, 1944 in Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of the late Forest Henry and Keitha (Parker) Slagle. She was first married to Mike Eley of Sidney. She later married Carl Minniear, who preceded her in death on December 25, 2005.

Susan is survived by one son, Craig (Penny) Eley of Sidney; seven grandchildren, Brittany (Gary) Roesser, Ryan Eley, Brandon (Allie) McKnight, Travis McKnight, Leslie McKnight, Mathew Dobben and Andrew Dobben; three great-grandchildren, Miles and Hayley Roesser, and Carter McKnight; one brother, Hank (Nancy) Slagle; one sister, Paula (Rick) Schlotterbeck; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Rick and Melissa Hirschfeld and Karen Geuy. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Debra Eley-Walker.

Susan was retired from Every Day Manufacturing where she served as a bookkeeper for more than 10 years. She also worked as a volunteer for FISH for many years. Susan was a master gardener. She enjoyed spending time outside in her yard and utilizing her knowledge in gardening. She was an avid collector of various items, some of which would include stamps, Hallmark ornaments and comics. She enjoyed fostering and adopting cats and loved spending time with her dog, Cera. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

A Memorial Service will Monday, March 22, 2021 at 11:00 AM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Rev. Eileen Hix officiating. Burial will follow be at Shelby Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10 A.M. until the time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to Shelby County FISH or SCARF in Susan's memory.
