Sonja Lee (Bowen) Blevins

SONJA LEE BLEVINS, age 73 of Spring Hill, Florida and formerly of Lima, passed away Thursday, January 4, 2024, at 1:57 PM in Spring Hill, Florida. She was born on December 3, 1950, in North Matewan, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Tom Bowen and Erma (Mahone) Bowen Looney. 

On June 28, 1969 she married Leo E. Blevins who survives along with three children: Amy J. (Robert E.) Sanchez, Leo M. (Lyndi) Blevins both of Spring Hill, FL, and Tim D. (Jennifer) Blevins of Lima, OH, three siblings: Tom Bowen of Southgate, MI, Teresa Thompson, and John Looney both of Lima, OH, and eight grandchildren: Logan, Joseph, Samuel, Leo Jr, Izabella, Ellyonna, Maverick, and Wyatt. She was preceded in death by brother, Michael Bowen.

Mrs. Blevins earned her associate degree and worked as a registered nurse. She was a member of the Lima Community Church and the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks.

A Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Randy Reed officiating. Interment will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the time of service.
