Sondra R. (Ruese) Dunham

SONDRA R. (RUESE) DUNHAM, 94, of Sidney passed away Friday, January 20, 2023 at 6:12 PM at Wilson Health. She was born on April 16, 1928 in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Janice (Richeson) Ruese. On July 8, 1951, Sondra married Robert Dunham, who preceded her in death April 8, 2011.

She is survived by three children, Andy (Mary) Dunham of Medina, Ted (Chris) Dunham of Piqua and Mark (Lynne) Dunham of Sidney; brother, Phil Ruese of Sidney; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren and one on the way.

Mrs. Dunham was a Homemaker all her life.  Sondra was a 1946 Sidney High School Alum and graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University in 1950. She was actively involved in the Shakespeare Club, YMCA Board and Amos Memorial Library Board. Sondra was an avid reader, loved to travel, play bridge and bowl.  She was a lifetime member of First Presbyterian Church of Sidney.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday February 10, 2023 at 2 PM at the Amos Chapel at Ohio Living Dorothy Love with Chaplain Barbara Sayler officiating. A reception is to follow at the Sidney Moose Lodge from 3 PM until 5 PM. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave Sidney. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Community Foundation of Shelby County Attn: Robert & Sondra Dunham Foundation in Sondra's memory.
