Sheila Kay Starrett

Sheila Kay Starrett age 76 of Sidney passed away Thursday, January 9, 2025. She was born on December 28,1948 in Sidney the daughter of Donald and Evelyn (Eiler) Downey.

Sheila is survived by her loving family, husband Wayne Starrett, children Ginger Starrett of Troy, Heather Starrett of Dayton and Brian (Kristen) Starrett of Columbus, grandchildren Grace Starrett, Gabriella Starrett, Cullen Starrett and Addison Starrett.

Sheila is preceded in death by her parents and a brother Keith Downey.

Mom was a life-long member of Holy Angels Catholic Church, graduated from Sidney High School and was married for 58 years. She retired from Peoples Federal Savings and Loan where she worked as an executive secretary. In her spare time, she loved to tole paint, read books, do arts and crafts, and spend time with her family and grandchildren. Whenever she got together with family and especially the grandchildren, she loved to play games and cards.
