Sharon Ann Shaffer

SHARON ANN SHAFFER, 81, of Sidney, passed away at 4:30 P.M. Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Shelby Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. She was born on January 23, 1944 in Minster, Ohio, the daughter of the late Ernest and Betty (Chase) Schwenzer. Sharon was married to Gary Lynn Shaffer, who preceded her in death on April 12, 2015.

Sharon is survived by her daughter, Danielle Renee Martin; two grandchildren, Miranda Lynn Martin and Brennan Ray Shaffer; and one sister, Linda Williamson of Quincy. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Pat, Tom, and David Schwenzer.

Sharon worked as a nurse’s aide at Fair Haven County Home in Sidney for more than 28 years, a role that reflected her caring nature. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, who meant everything to her. She also enjoyed playing bingo and found comfort in the companionship of her beloved pet rabbit, Peanut. Sharon was loved deeply and will be missed by all who knew her.
