Shannon S. Kemp

SHANNON S. KEMP, 52, of Sidney passed away Tuesday, October 10, 2023 at her own residence. She was born on September 8, 1971 in Bellefontaine, Ohio, the daughter of Larry Gates and the late Vicki (Wray) Gates. On March 25, 1989, Shannon married Ricky Kemp, who survives. 

She is survived by three children, Jonathon Kemp of Sidney, Larry (Jennifer) Kemp of Jackson Center and Justin Kemp of Sidney; nine grandchildren and five siblings, Chasity (Joseph) Kerrigan of Troy, Melaney Ramge of Bellefontaine, Michael (Katie) Ropp of DeGraff, Patrick (Nicole) Gates of South Carolina and Lisa (John) Lowe of Sidney. Shannon was preceded in death by niece, Victoria "Tori" Small and aunt, Pam Greenwell.

Shannon enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren. She especially loved spending time with her sister, Chasity. She was a member of Sidney Apostolic Temple.  

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday October 17,2023 at 1 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave with Rev. Mark Hina officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney, Ohio.
