She is survived by four children, Max (Karen) Elliott of Sidney, Michelle (Joe) Hipskind of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Mary (Dan) Paulus of Sidney and Mark (Tracy Koontz) Elliott of Anna; nine grandchildren, Ty and Mathias Elliott, Lindsey Sharrock and Shane Shroyer, Alex and Lauren Hipskind, Nick Hipskind, Nell and Pat O’Connell, Jenni and Dan Eichenauer, Andrea Paulus and Erica and Josh Smith; nine great-grandchildren, Nora, Leo and Joey O’Connell, Emma and Eli Eichenauer, Sadie and Sammy Shroyer and Sawyer and Braxton Hipskind; sibling Doty Blankenship and sibling in law, Barb and Rick Reiss. Sarah was preceded in death by siblings, Dick Deal, James (Barb) Deal, Larry Deal, Paul Deal, Jerry Deal, Linda (Gray) Fenton and Shirley Deal and sibling in law, Shelby and Chuck Newsom.
Sarah was a loving mother who raised her children then worked for Copeland and ARA Vending to help cover the expenses of catholic education. Once grandchildren arrived, she happily retired from work to assist in their upbringing. She lovingly cared for them when they were small and was their primary transportation to and from school as they grew. If you ever went away from grandma’s house hungry, it was your own fault as she went out of her way to always make or have everyone’s favorite foods on hand! Once her grandchildren were out of high school, she took wonderful care of her loving husband until his passing in March of 2024. Sarah was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church.
