Sajid "Saj" Feroze

SAJID “SAJ” FEROZE, 60, of Anna, passed away at 11:12 A.M. Monday, September 9, 2024 at his residence. He was born on March 25, 1964 in India.

On July 22, 2005 he married the former Laura Cathcart who survives along with 9 children, Natasha Monnin, Nichole (Johnny) Perry, Nicholas (Lindsey) Monnin, Natalie (Ben) Carey, Jenna (Dan Fittro) Ball, Joey (Sarah Barhorst) Ball, Jacob Feroze, Leigh (Webb) Pierce, and Lauren (Aaron) Pinkstaff; 13 grandchildren, Kaleb and Tyler Wysong, Cameron and Breonna Perry, Andre Gordon, Benji Monnin, Kohlten, Mason and Peyton Carey, Brooklyn Fittro, Lyra and Mikey Pierce, and Bella Rogers; and two great-grandchildren, Bentley and Vivian Wysong; and his beloved dog, Bentley. He was preceded in death by parents-in-law, Jospeh and Donna Cathcart; brothers-in-law, Robin and Randy Cathcart; and niece, Jocelyn Cathcart.

Saj was a proud graduate of USC, where he also excelled as a member of the baseball team. Known for his selfless nature and deep compassion, he was always eager to care for others. A devoted Alabama football fan, Saj found great joy in cheering for his team. He was actively involved in the Anna Boosters and passionately supported Anna athletics, especially when it came to his son, Jacob.

Saj’s greatest joy was his family, treasuring every opportunity to bring them together. Whether on family vacations, at the beach, or simply enjoying time with his loved ones, he created lasting memories with those he held dearest. A loving husband, father, grandfather and friend, Saj’s presence will be deeply missed by his family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Saj was member of Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 10:30 AM with Fr. John W. Tonkin officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4 to 7 P.M. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home, and on Friday from 9 to 10 A.M. at Sacred Heart just prior to mass.
