Ruth Ann Wells

RUTH ANN PACKER WELLS, 79, of Sidney, passed away at 1:55 A.M. Thursday, September 16, 2021 at Upper Valley Medical Center. She was born on December 13, 1941 in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of the late Paul and Bernice (Abbott) Packer. On December 3, 1960 she married Timothy Wilder Wells, who preceded her in death on December 10, 2016.

Ruth is survived by children, Angela Wells of Sidney and Michael (Tracy) Wells of Port Jefferson; two grandchildren, Alexander Wells and Brianna Wells, both of Dayton; and two sisters, Betty Sites and Connie Helman, both of Sidney. She was preceded in death by brother, Ron Packer.

Ruth was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was always there for her family. Ruth worked as a secretary at Metropolitan Housing Sidney. She volunteered at FISH of Sidney and was a member of the Sidney Moose Lodge. Ruth loved to cook and garden. She also enjoyed playing dominos at the Senior Center in Sidney. Ruth lived life for her family, especially her grandchildren.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 12 P.M. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Rev. Philip K. Chilcote officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10 A.M. until the time of service. Burial will be at Shelby Memory Gardens at a later date.
