Rose Marie (Sloma) Meyer

ROSE MARIE (SLOMA) MEYER, 83, of Sidney passed away Friday, July 19, 2024 at 3:40 PM at Ohio Living Dorothy Love. She was born on September 10, 1940 in Helena, Ohio, the daughter of the late Clarence and Ruth (Nieset) Sloma. On November 3, 1962, Rose married William Meyer, who preceded her in death.

She is survived by two children, Connie (Rick) Ball of Russia and Doug (Kersten) Meyer of Springboro; six grandchildren, Derek Ball, Lindsay (Bryan) Coffey, Jocelyn (Tommy) Baumel, Jordan Ball, Andrew (Sam Pellicane) Ball and Jacob (Cailey) Meyer; two great-grandchildren, Delilah and Elliott and four siblings, Joe Sloma of Fremont, Peg Schalk of New Riegel, Janet Sloma of Fremont and Betty (Jim) Hoffman of Helena. Rose was preceded in death by great grandchild, Siena Marie Meyer, sister, Theresa Sloma, brother-in-law, Pete Schalk and two sisters-in-law, Mary Sloma and Peg Sloma.

Mrs. Meyer retired from Findlay Industries after a long career working in Human Resources. Rose enjoyed going to the casino’s, baking Christmas cookies with her grandchildren and tending to her flowers. She cherished spending time with her family. Rose was a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church for over 40 years.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday July 29, 2024 at 10:30 AM at Holy Angels Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Sidney, Ohio. Friends may visit from 8:30 AM until 10:15 AM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave Sidney. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Angels Catholic Church in Rose’s memory.
