ROSE EVELYN LEWIS, 92 of Sidney, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2026, at 1:55 AM at Wilson Health. She was born on February 28, 1934, in Sidney, Ohio, the daughter of the late Claude and Vera (Ludlum) Peters. On June 13, 1954, she married Clifton “Clif” Lewis who preceded her in death December 24, 2014.
Rose is survived by three sons: Rick (Carol) Lewis of Conover, Randy (Deb) Lewis of Sidney, and Ronald Lewis of Conover, brother, Richard (Joyce) Peters of Sidney, seven grandchildren: Nick, Joe, Lindsey, Laura, Rob, Scott, and Ashley, 19 great-grandchildren, one great-great granddaughter, Melania, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by infant sister, Elnora Peters, brother, Jim Peters, and sister-in-law, Rose Peters.
Rose was a graduate of the former Perry Township High School, class of 1952. She worked in retail at the former Murphy’s thrift store in Sidney and later worked for Copeland Corporation. She was a life-member of North Broadway Church of Christ in Sidney.
Rose enjoyed photography, baking and cooking, and sitting on her porch in her swing. Above all, she loved her family, especially her grandkids.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 10, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor Kris Geise officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
