Ronald J. Davis

RONALD J. DAVIS, 92, of Sidney, passed away at 2:04 P.M. Saturday, May 3, 2025 at Shelby Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. He was born on December 1, 1932 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late William and Katherin (Briggs) Davis. On June 10, 1950 he married the former Mae J. Ellis, who preceded him in death on April 6, 2023.

Ronald is survived by three children, Ronald L. (Glenna) Davis of Sidney, Debbie Love of Cleveland, and Dennis K. (Cheryl) Davis of Sidney; eleven grandchildren; and a multitude of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister, Katherine Uncafer; and daughter, Katie Friesthler.

Ronald proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army National Guard. He spent the majority of his career as a skilled polisher at Wagner Manufacturing in Sidney. In his free time, Ronald found joy in woodcarving, drawing, and spending peaceful hours fishing. He was a devoted member of Faith Baptist Church, where his faith and fellowship were a meaningful part of his life.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at 12 P.M. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor Earnie Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 11 A.M. until the time of service. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.
