Ron Wilges

Ron Wilges age 77 of Sidney passed away on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 6:45 PM at Dayton VA Hospital. He was born the son of Clyde and Edith (Christian) Wilges on February 19, 1947, in Sidney.

Ron is survived by his loving family, wife Darla (Combs) Wilges who he married June 24, 1978, children Shawn (Janett) Wilges, Danielle (Michael) Bricker, Monica (Brent) Rabren, and Travis (Nicole) Wilges, grandchildren Grace, Shawn Jr., Avery, Caleb, Nolan, Lila, Nora, Derrick, Elizabeth and Serenity, great grandchild Riley, siblings Dwight (Shirley) Wilges, Tom (Susan) Evilsizor and Bill (Martha) Evilsizor.

Ron is preceded in death by his parents and stepmom Sadie.

Ron was a graduate of Sidney High School class of 1965. He was a proud veteran of the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of American Legion Post 217 and Life Member of VFW 4239. He retired from Ross Aluminum/Avon Division. Ron will be missed waving by the passer byes at the corner of Wapakoneta and W. Pinehurst and his family.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 12:00 PM (Noon) at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor Brent Driver and Pastor Shawn Wilges officiating. Burial to follow at Graceland Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cromesfh.com
