Obituary
ROLAND W. SCHALOW SR., age 89 of Sidney, passed away Wednesday, April 6, 2022 at 7:26 PM at his residence. He was born on December 18, 1932 in Rodney, Michigan, the son of the late Albert and Mertie (Bacon) Schalow.
On March 24, 1956 Roland married Virginia (Church) who survives along with three children; Roland W. Jr. (Rhonda) Schalow of Sidney, Scott Schalow of Sheridan, MI, and Darci (Thomas) Bartlett of Elk Rapids, MI, one sister, Shirley Loree of Belding, MI, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Sterling Schalow.
Mr. Schalow served his country as a Corporal in the US Army from 1953 to 1954. He retired as a self-employed salesman after selling various products over the span of his career.
Cremation Services have been entrusted to Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home. Services for Roland will be held in Michigan at the discretion of the family. Condolences may be expressed to the Schalow family at www.cromesfh.com
