Roger William Hammond

ROGER WILLIAM HAMMOND, 89, of Anna, passed away at 2:52 A.M. on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at Heritage Center for Rehab and Speciality Care in Minster. He was born on June 10, 1936 in Constantine, Michigan, the son of the late Eldon and Dortha (Nausbaum) Hammond. On August 20, 1954, he married June Dentler, who preceded him in death on July 3, 2021.

Roger is survived by three daughters, Karen (Mike) Schaub of Botkins, Gail (Terry) Middleton of Anna, and Gwen (Mark) Glick of Jackson Center; two grandchildren, Rodney Messer and Jacob (Hannah) Glick; and two great-grandchildren, Hunter and Hailey.

Roger was a veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. He valued time spent with his family and will be greatly missed.

The family will hold a graveside service on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at 11:00 A.M. at Pearl Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home. Condolences may be expressed to Roger’s family at www.cromesfh.com.
