Roger Omer Cotterman

ROGER OMER COTTERMAN, 84 of Piqua, passed away Tuesday, February 24, 2026, at 2:57 PM at Upper Valley Medical Center in Troy. He was born on May 14, 1941, in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Omer Carl and Emeline Irene (Friestuhler) Cotterman.

On June 12, 2009, Roger married Patty L. (Cool) who survives along with one son, Christopher (Tiffany) Cotterman of Colorado, and four grandchildren: Brittany (Todd) Reed, Nicollette (Wayne) Wagner, Brandy Strunk, and CJ Cotterman. He was preceded in death by daughter, Amy Strunk, and three brothers.

Roger joined the Marines in 1960 and proudly served his country in the Special Forces during the Vietnam War. He retired from the former Copperweld Corporation in Piqua as a foreman and truck driver.

In keeping with his wishes, Roger will be cremated and no services are to be held. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.
