Rocklyn “Rocky” Forney

ROCKLYN D. “ROCKY” FORNEY, 71, of Sidney, passed away at 5:28 P.M. Monday, February 3, 2025 at Miami Valley Hospital. He was born on September 22, 1953 in Greenville, Ohio, the son of the late Robert Forney, and Myra (Mumaw) Jordan, who survives in Sidney.

Rocky is also survived by two stepbrothers, Chris (Therse) Jordan of Oxford, OH, and Mark Jordan of Sidney; and close friend, Julie Kossel of Sidney. He was preceded in death by one brother, Scott Forney.

Rocky retired from the Ohio Department of Transportation after many years of dedicated service. He had a deep passion for sports, particularly football and NASCAR, which brought him great joy. Above all, Rocky valued the time spent with his friends, all of whom will miss him greatly.

A celebration of life service will be held on a later date at the convenience of the family. Rocky’s final resting place will be at Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney. Condolences may be expressed to the family at, www.cromesfh.com
