Robert "Mike" Michael Kelly

ROBERT MICHAEL “MIKE” KELLY, 74, of Sidney, passed away at 3:35 P.M. Wednesday, January 29, 2025 at his residence surrounded by family. He was born on February 25, 1950 in Riveridge, Kentucky, the son of the late Robert and Beatrice (Phelps) Kelly.

On February 22, 1969 he was married to the former Patricia Gold, who survives him along with their two children, Eric W. Kelly of Sidney, and Erica M. (Dan Miyake) Kelly of Clarklake, MI; one granddaughter, Abigail (Patrick) Westfall; one great-granddaughter, Emma Westfall; and one sister, Joann (Dick) Cory. He was preceded in death by his twin sister, and two brothers.

Mike attended Sidney High School. He spent nearly 30 years at LeRoi Dresser in Sidney before working for a decade at McCrary Metal Polishing in Port Jefferson. He later dedicated 8 years to Fairlawn Schools and spent his final 3 years with the Alpha Community Center. Mike was an active umpire for Industrial League Softball for many years. He was deeply committed to his faith and community, serving as a leader of the SKIP class and a member of the Men’s Group at Connection Point Church of God. Above all, Mike treasured his family, and the time he spent with them.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 1P.M. at Connection Point Church of God with Pastor Mark Kaufman officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Point Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 11 A.M. until the time of service. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to Alpha Community Center or Connection Point Church of God in Mike’s memory.
