Robert "Bob" H. Taylor

ROBERT “BOB” H. TAYLOR, Age 79, passed away peacefully in his home on Thursday, December 21, 2023. Bob was born on February 29, 1944. He  married his wife of 58 years, Karen (Goings) Taylor on July 3, 1965.

Robert retired from Quincy Castings in 2007. Robert was an Army veteran, an avid fisherman, loved music, and coached his daughter’s softball. He loved his grandchildren and children. His entire family was his life.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Henry Taylor and Bertha (Mayberry) Taylor; daughter, LaTonda Taylor; and grandson, Freddy Louis Buss Jr.. He is survived by his wife, Karen (Goings) Taylor; daughter, Sandy Taylor (Jodie Harris); and grandchildren, Kayla (Jason) Browning, Wes (Katie) Spradlin, Trista Kerns (Josh Stief), Hope (Cory) Wilks, Trenton Wilson, Landynn Fogt, Logan Fogt, Levi Coats, KaAlani Asia, Riley Spradlin, Harmony Wilks, Caprice Spradlin, Carleigh Spradlin, Maddie Wilks, and Paisley Fogt; step-grandchildren, Mike, Matt, Nick, and Destiny Harris; and brother, Don (Janet) Taylor.

A memorial service will be held on a later date at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Salvation Army, or to Shelby County Veterans Services in memory of Robert “Bob” H. Taylor.
