Robert Leroy Hughes

ROBERT LEROY HUGHES, 71, of Botkins, passed away at 10:33 P.M. Sunday, March 1, 2026 at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center. He was born on June 13, 1954 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Herbert and Maydine (O'Connor) Hughes.

Robert is survived by his companion of nearly 40 years, Judy Thompson; two daughters, Kimberly Eddleman of Florida, and Amber Typpi of Botkins; five grandchildren, Makenzee Eddleman, Riley Cota, Derek Mahan, Logan (TJ) Keplinger, and Lindsey (Casey) Crable; one sister, Helen (Mark) Smith; one niece, Marcy (Casey) Hall; one nephew, Clint Smith; and his uncle, Richard Hughes.

Robert had a passion for treasure hunting at flea markets and garage sales and took great pride in his collection of antiques. He found peace and contentment spending time by the pond on the family property. Above all, he treasured the time he spent with his friends and family, creating memories that will be forever cherished.
