Robert Kenneth Cook, 80, of Sidney, passed away at 2:26 A.M. on Sunday, May 31, 2026, at Momentous Health in Sidney. He was born on October 15, 1945, to the late James Howard and Opal (Brown) Cook in Lorado, West Virginia.
On September 9, 1989, Robert married Sandra (Rediess) Cook, who survives him along with his daughter, Stacy (JJ) Warnecke, of Troy; two stepchildren, Angie (Fred) Mills of Sidney and Cami (Bill) Frey of Houston; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Carl (Bobbie) Cook of Catlettsburg, KY, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his two brothers, Raymond Cook and Harold Cook; four sisters, Beulah Western, Pearl Aliff, Lorraine McComas, and Gladys Saunders; and his niece, Brenda Poettinger.
Robert was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He enjoyed playing softball, bowling, and golfing, and spent many years participating in golf leagues at Shelby Oaks. For most of his life, he was a devoted fan of the Ohio State Buckeyes. Robert also had a deep appreciation for music, especially oldies from the 1950s and 1960s, and even spent a period of time working as a DJ. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his children and grandchildren, who were the greatest joy in his life.
Funeral services will be held at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 3, 2026, at 12 P.M. Burial with military honors will follow at Pearl Cemetery. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10 A.M. until the time of service. Condolences may be made to the family at (www.cromesfh.com)
