Richard "Richie" Eugene Burns II

RICHARD “RICHIE” EUGENE  BURNS II, 60, of Sidney, passed away at 12:07 P.M. Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at Hospice of Miami County Inpatient Unit surrounded by his family. He was born on December 7, 1965 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of that late Richard Eugene Burns and Virginia (Flory) Burns-Small.

On August 10, 2022 he married the former Susan Casto-Adams, who survives along with three children, Kristi (Sarah) Burns of Columbus, Brittany Burns of Sidney, and Zach (Katie) Cordray of Quincy; three step-children, Heather (Jeremy) Thomas of Springfield, Stacey (Brandon) Burks of Mechanicsburg, and Tabitha Adams of Springfield; four grandchildren, Ava, Maddox and Braxtyn Burns, and Elylah Cordray; ten step-grandchildren; and one step-great-grandchild; and five siblings, Dianne Burns of Sidney, Melody (Brian) Jones of Niceville, FL, Teresa (John) Stackonis of Sidney, Annette (Jeff) Berry of Zanesville, and Jon (Mitzi) Burns of Sidney. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Tammy White, and Lycinda Yount; and mother-in-law, Susan Shaffer.

Richie retired from KTH Parts Industries in St. Paris after more than 20 years of dedicated service. He was a member of the Sidney Eagles, a devoted fan of Ohio State and Bengals football, and he also enjoyed watching NASCAR.

An enthusiastic collector, Richie took pride in his sports memorabilia and his love of cars, both full-size and diecast models. Known as the life of the party, he had a quick wit and a natural way of making others smile.

Richie loved the outdoors, especially camping, and spent many cherished days at Camp Qtokee. He was generous and selfless, always doing for others without expecting anything in return. Some of his favorite moments were spent around the campfire with family and friends, whether at home or at the campground.

He enjoyed the companionship of his two dogs, Kobie and Ziggy, but nothing brought him greater joy than his grandchildren. Richie was deeply loved and will be truly missed.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2025 at 12 P.M. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Randy Reed officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cemetery. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until the time of service. Condolences may be expressed to the family at, www.cromesfh.com
