Richard Terry Denman Sr.

RICHARD TERRY DENMAN SR., age 85 of Piqua, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 3:44 AM at Upper Valley Medical Center. He was born on August 12, 1940, in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Emerson Earl and Edna (Bodenmiller) Denman. On September 9, 1961, he married Linda Kaye (Green) who preceded him in death December 28, 2024.

Richard is survived by two children: Richard T. Jr. (Victoria) Denman of Liberty Township, OH, and Susan Watkins of Piqua, grandson, Kevin E. (Ashley) Denman, four grandchildren: Lucy and Ruby Lawrence, and Lucas and Andrew Denman, and sister-in-law, Sylvia Denman and family. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Denman.

Richard was a graduate of Sidney High School Class of 1958. He served his country in the US Navy from 1958 to 1961. Following his time in the service, he worked as a tool maker for Copeland Corporation, where he dedicated 31 years of faithful service before retiring.

Richard was an avid sportsman and enjoyed coaching in his younger years. He was a devoted fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes and the Cincinnati Bengals. He also loved playing cards and could often be found enjoying a good game at the Eagles, where he was a member, the Elks, or the Senior Center.

Funeral Services for Richard will be held Monday, January 5, 2026, at 12:00 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Richard’s final resting place will be at Cedar Point Cemetery in Pasco at a later date.
