Rebecca Pauline Musser, 69, of Sidney, passed away at 5:55 A.M. Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at her residence. She was born on November 14, 1956, in Bellefontaine, Ohio, to the late John M. “Hank” Sloan and Jane L. (Gerstner) Keller.
On February 15, 1975, Rebecca married Timothy “Tim” Glenn Musser Sr., who survives along with their three children, Benjamin (Michelle) Musser, Timothy (Kimberly) Musser Jr. both of Sidney, Ohio, and Angela (Joseph) Marchese of Yonkers, New York; seven grandchildren, Ben (Michelle Cambell) Musser Jr., Matthew (Shelbey) Musser, Haylee Musser, Christopher (Danielle) Musser, Gavin Musser, Veronica Marchese, and Madeline Marchese; four great-grandchildren, Alayna, Zander, Lukas, and Stella Musser; and Deborah, Adam, and Abigail Cambell, all whom she loved as though they were her own great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four siblings; Kay Sloan, Randy (Ann) Sloan, Jim Sloan, all of Sidney, Ohio, and John (Glytana) Sloan of Jackson Center, Ohio. She was preceded in death by her brother, Don Sloan.
A 1975 graduate of Sidney High School, Rebecca was also a longtime member of First Baptist Church in Sidney. She loved volunteering at Dayton Children’s alongside her husband, Tim. Rebecca worked as a Transit Dispatcher for the City of Sidney for over 20 years until her retirement in 2022.
Rebecca was an avid collector of salt and pepper shakers, and she adored her two cats, Patches and Brutus. She enjoyed sewing and embroidering for her family and friends. Rebecca also loved watching and feeding the birds, always making sure the feeders around her home were full. You could be certain that whenever you saw Tim, Rebecca was right by his side. When they had the chance to get away, they enjoyed relaxing at the beach or trying their luck at casinos. She also loved traveling to New York to visit her daughter and grandchildren. More than anything, Rebecca loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at 1 P.M. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor James Oates officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 10 A.M. until the time of the service. Contributions may be made to Dayton Children’s Hospital in honor of Rebecca.
