Rebecca P. Lofty, 73, of Sidney passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024. She was born on December 27, 1950 to the late Charles L. Price and Arlene (Morris) Price. She is also preceded in death by her step-father, James O’Reilly.
Rebecca is survived by one sister, Cheryl (Tom) Iiams; two brothers, Chuck (Arlene) Price, and Bill O’Reilly; sister-in-law and caregiver, Valerie O’Reilly; 9 nieces and nephews; 4 great-nieces and great-nephews; and best friends since childhood, Kathy Thompson and Jane Pulfer.
Rebecca graduated from Sidney High School in 1969. She married the late Charles Lofty in 1988. A dedicated nurse, Rebecca worked for many years at the V.A. Hospital, later at the Shelby County Jail, and finished her career as a restorative nurse at Fair Haven County Home.
She was an active member of Faith Fellowship, serving in various capacities, and volunteered at the Agape Distribution Center. Rebecca was known for her witty humor and her deep love for the Lord, family, and friends. She also served on a missionary journey to Honduras as a volunteer nurse.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 at 12 P.M. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Rebecca’s brother, Chuck Price officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery.
