Rebecca Gail (Tidwell) Cassity

REBECCA GAIL CASSITY, 63 of Sidney, passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026, at 1:07 AM at Lima Memorial Hospital. She was born on January 25, 1963, in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Richard Fremen and Jean (Funk) Tidwell.

Rebecca is survived by three children: Heather Cassity of Lima, Brieanna Cassity of Troy, and Devon Cassity of Sidney, brother, Christopher (Vonda) Tidwell of Florida, three grandkids: Jonathan, Ashton, and Dakota Goins, and five great-grandkids: Luka, Nyla, Mica, Ezra, and Helix. She was preceded in death by brother, Brian Tidwell, and sister, Carol Jean Tidwell.

Rebecca was a graduate of Sidney High School, class of 1981. She worked for Voca as a caretaker for the mentally disabled. She enjoyed painting and making jewelry. She was an avid Cleveland Browns and Ohio State Buckeyes fan.

Rebecca loved her family, especially her grandkids and great-grandkids who loved her and will miss her dearly.

Funeral Services for Rebecca will be held Monday, May 18, 2026, at 6:00 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor Damian Tibbs officiating. The family will receive friends on Monday from 5:00 PM until the time of service.
