Raymond "Ray" Eugene Davis

RAYMOND EUGENE “RAY” DAVIS, 81, of Jackson Center passed away at 11:46 A.M. Wednesday, February 11, 2026 at his residence, surrounded by family. He was born on October 4, 1944 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of the late Melvin Harley and Dora Lenita (Fogt) Davis.

On November 11, 1967 he married the former Sue Tidd, who survives, along with their three children, Kim (Todd) Weadock of Findlay, Paula (Len) McElhose of Tipp City, and Timothy Davis of Knoxville, TN; nine grandchildren, Patrick (Mallory) McElhose, Andrew Weadock, Tristan Davis, Raegan (Jacob) Webb, Chelsea Weadock, Hannah Davis, Noah McElhose, Allison Weadock, and Alaina McElhose; one great-granddaughter, Hudson McElhose; his brother, James Davis of Sidney; and sister, Deb (Gary) Walls of Wapakoneta. He was preceded in death by one sister, Phyllis Botkins.

Ray was a 1962 graduate of Sidney High School. He worked at Airstream for more than 40 years and later at NAPA Auto Parts for five years before retiring. He served Jackson Township in Shelby County and was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, where he played on the church dartball team. An avid bowler, Ray enjoyed watching NASCAR and was a devoted Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He never met a stranger and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at 4 P.M at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor David Sanders officiating. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 2 P.M. until the time of service. Condolences may be expressed to Ray’s family at (www.cromesfh.com).
