Obituary

RALPH R. HOWELL, 95, of Sidney passed away Sunday, January 3, 2021 at 2:50 PM at Fair Haven Shelby County Home. He was born on March 15, 1925 in Shelby County, Ohio, the son of the late Rayburn and Bessie (Wenger) Howell. On July 20, 1946, Ralph married the former Ruth Liess, who survives.

He is survived by two children, Rita (Terry) Blakeman and Ronald (Sherry) Howell both of Sidney; nine grandchildren; thirty one great-grandchildren; two sisters, Ruth Weber and Patsy Fogt both of Sidney and daughter-in-law, Sue Howell. Ralph was preceded in death by two sons, Danny Howell and Norman Howell, daughter, Judy Krebs, two brothers, Andy Howell and Russell Howell and two sisters, Rosie Webb and Ethel Kettler.

Mr. Howell was a lifelong Shelby County Farmer. He was a member of the Draft Horses Association and raised Hafflingers. Ralph enjoyed helping his children and grandchildren with livestock and 4H projects. He was a member of Anna United Methodist Church.

A Graveside Service will be held Friday January 8, 2021 at 11am at Glen Cemetery with Rev. Randy Locker officiating. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave Sidney. Condolences may be expressed to the Howell family at our website, www.cromesfh.com
