PHYLLIS ANN BLUST, 92, of Sidney passed away at 9:50 A.M. Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Landings of Sidney. She was born on April 25, 1933 in Piqua, Ohio, the daughter of the late George and Carrie (Heins) Bausch. On August 21, 1953 she married William D. Blust, who preceded her in death on March 11, 2006.
Phyllis is survived by two sons, Richard M. (Kris) Blust of Marysville, and Jeffrey A. (Amy) Blust of Sidney; six grandchildren, Nicole (Brian) Herbst, Allison (Mathew) Schwab, Derek Blust, Laura Blust, Cody (Kaitlyn) Blust, and Carrie (Luke) Clay; two step-grandchildren, Jake (Dhriti) Harper, and Kalin Harper; eight great-grandchildren, Carson Clay, Bryce and Brynn Herbst, Adalyn, Viviana, Gage, and Colton Schwab, and Arya Blust; and one sister, Lois Wolfe of Washington Courthouse.
Phyllis worked as a registered nurse at Wilson Health for nearly 20 years. She was a faithful member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sidney and took part in the church’s Joy Circle Bible study and ministry group. Over the years, she enjoyed belonging to several card clubs and spending time reading, doing puzzles, and playing Scrabble. When her boys were young, she was an active member of the Sidney Football Moms and remained a devoted fan and lifelong ticket holder. Phyllis was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
Funeral Services will be held Thursday, March 12, 2026 at 12 P.M. at St. John's Lutheran Church with Pastor Cody Blust officiating. Visitation will be at the church on Thursday from 10 A.M. until the time of service. Arrangements are in the care of Crome-Edwards Funeral Home.
