PAUL D. NATION, 76, of Tipp City, formerly of Sidney, went peacefully to be with the Lord at 12:47 P.M. on Saturday, February 22, 2025 as he was surrounded by his family at Hospice of Miami County in Troy. He was born on November 6, 1948 in Jellico, Tennessee, the son of the late Floyd and Sarah (Waits) Nation.
On October 30, 1971 he married the former LaJuana Willoughby, who survives along with their three children, Tony (Alisa) Weber of Pleasant Hill, OH, Molly (Matthew) White of Kettering, OH, and Beth (John) Schindler of Zimmerman, MN; seven grandchildren, Alex Nation, Jillian Benner, Sarah Hall, McKenna Nation, Will Weber, Olivia Weber, and Rachael Salyer; four great-grandchildren, Kaiden, Khail, Esmae, and Isla Benner; and one brother, Benny Nation of Florida.
Paul retired after a dedicated 39-year career with UPS, where he began as a package delivery driver before advancing to drive a semi. A passionate NASCAR fan, Paul enjoyed attending races with his wife each year, including trips to Daytona and numerous other tracks. He loved traveling, a joy he shared with LaJuana throughout their marriage, with one of their favorite destinations being Sunset Beach in North Carolina. Above all, Paul treasured his family. He found great happiness in spending time on his front porch, hosting family barbecues, and being surrounded by those he held most dear.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, March 3, 2025 at 1 P.M. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Glen Cemetery in Port Jefferson, Ohio. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11 A.M. until the time of service.
