PATRICIA ANN BAKER, age 88 of Sidney, passed away Monday, August 28, 2023 at 2:50 AM at Fair Haven Shelby County Home. She was born on November 7, 1934 in Carroll County, Tennessee, the daughter of the late Elijah Green and Linda Mae (Watson) Cagle, and step-mother, Clara Nell Cagle.
On April 10, 1971 she married Garry J. Baker who survives along with four children: Malinda (Michael) Van Hook, Donald (Jana) Douglas, Michael (Tina) Douglas, and Kevin (Molly) Douglas all of Sidney, three siblings: Joyce (Tom) Karn of Sidney, Randy (Sylvia) Cagle, and Timothy (Lynn) Cagle both of Camden, TN, 20 grandchildren, 53 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren. Along with her parents and stepmother, she was preceded in death by five brothers, four sisters, and two grandsons.
Patricia was a loving wife to her husband, Garry, a loving and kind mother to her four children, and their children. She had an infectious smile and laugh that we will always remember.
While raising her children, she worked at the GC Murphy store in downtown Sidney, OH until she started work at the Stolle Corporation, Plant 2 in 1966. She retired from Stolle’s in 1996.
Patricia became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in 1994. She was always a people person, so meeting her neighbors in Shelby County gave her great pleasure. She enjoyed helping others gain knowledge of the Bible and what God’s kingdom will do for us in the future.
Patricia also loved being with her family and loving on her grandchildren and their children. She loved all that came through her door or into her life. She will be truly missed by all who knew her. Her husband and children will miss her forever.
A Memorial Service will be held at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1345 Kuther Rd, Sidney, OH 45365 on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 2 PM with Brother James Vagnone officiating. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1PM until the time of service. Arrangements are in the care of Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home.
