Orville R. “John” Schoffner age 80 of Sidney passed away on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 at 5:15 AM at home. He was born on January 31, 1945 in England the son of Orville Ray and Edith “Edna” (Alder) Schoffner Sr.
Orville is survived by his loving family, wife Sandra “Sandy” (Kiser) Schoffner, children Tina Hodge (Jason Pulfer), John (Beth) Schoffner, Kimberly Borton, and Timothy (Joanie) Borton, grandchildren Courtney (Rodney) Collins, Cheyenne (Daniel) Markin, Breanna (Quentin) Moffitt, Chris (Brittney) Schoffner, Ashley Schoffner, Shannen Schoffner, Cellie Schoffner, TyRone Wells, Katie (Jonathan) Via and Falcon Borton, great grandchildren Cassidy, Lacee, Adena, Warren, Izzy, Jude, Karsyn, Wessyn, Landyn, Oaklyn, Brydyn and Kayla, sisters Penny Maguire and Mary Ann Schoffner, and nephews Shane and Shawn Moore.
He is preceded in death by his parents, great grandchild Tyonna and a niece Shannon Moore.
John loved to fish, play bingo and spend time with the family he loved. He served his country proudly with the United States Army serving during the Vietnam War. He was a member of American Legion Post 217. He was a loving husband, father and great grandfather. He will be missed by all who love him.
