Ollie Ruth Morrison

OLLIE RUTH MORRISON, 92, of Sidney passed over into God's loving hands Sept. 21, 2021. She was born March 7, 1929 to the late Victory and Claudia (Dinsmore) Prater in Washington County, VA. She was married to George N. Morrison I, who preceded her in death in 2001.

Ollie is survived by her children, Harry M. Mitchell, James A. Mitchell, Linda L. Ostendorf, Betty J. (David) Schmidt, George N. Morrison II, Joseph V. (Lisa) Morrison, Robert L. Morrison I, L. Matthew Morrison, Cynthia (James) Cox, all of Sidney, David C. Mitchell of New Jersey, Roy E. (Phyliss) Morrison of Idaho; daughter-in-law, Deb Morrison of Quincy; 28 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren, 17 great-great grandchildren and 5 great-great-great grandchildren; 2 sisters in Virginia; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by sons, Charles L. Morrison, Arthur L. Morrison, John E. Mitchell, Roger T. Mitchell and Glory Ann Mitchell; granddaughter, Tava A. Dulin; great-grandson Brian Ostendorf; and 10 brothers and sisters.

Ollie had been a member of Full Gospel Community Church. She had worked as a nursing assistant at Fair Haven County Home and many years as a home health caregiver. To know her was to be blessed, for she was indeed a prayer warrior. As we say goodbye for now, we ask God to allow us to "Return to Sender." She was so well loved and she loved so well.

Funeral Services will be held Monday, Sept. 27, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home with Pastor Dale Morrison officiating. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens.
