NATALIE “NAN” LIVERGOOD, 99, of Sidney, formerly of Elyria, Ohio, passed away on Monday, May 13, 2024 at 4:30 P.M. at her residence. She was born on September 7, 1924 in Brockton, Massachusetts, the daughter of the late Arnold and Mabel (Scholler) Kenyon. On June 9, 1947 she married Arthur Livergood, who preceded her in death on November 8, 2012.
Nan is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Tacconelli of Sidney; four grandchildren, Leslie (Kevin) Higgins, Stephanie Dembski, Jeff (Julie) Jowett, and Kevin Jowett; seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. She was preceded in death by two daughters, Barbara Jowett, and Leslie Kay Livergood; two brothers and one sister.
Nan was retired from Elyria City Schools where she worked as a speech pathologist for over 30 years. She was a longtime member of First Congregational United Church of Christ in Elyria where she was very active and served as a volunteer in many capacities. She was also a member of the Book Club and the couples Bridge Club in Elyria. Nan enjoyed getting together with friends and family and loved hosting dinner parties. After the passing of her husband, Nan has enjoyed the last 7 years in Sidney, living with her daughter. During that time, she has become a member of Holy Angels Catholic Church.
A memorial service will be held Monday, May 20, 2024 at 11 A.M. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10 A.M. until the time of service.
