Nancy Kay Jones

Nancy Kay Jones age 76 of Sidney passed away on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 9:08 AM at home. She was born on April 4,1948 in Sidney the daughter of Franklin and Georganna (Middleton) Barthauer.

Nancy is survived by her loving family, husband whom she married on October 25, 1980 Verdon Jones, daughter Nikki (David) Lakso of Grove City, OH, step-children Nathan (Deanna) Jones of Flintville, TN and Lisa Jones of Lawrenceburg, TN, son-in-law Kevin Leapley of Grove City, OH, grandkids Jackson (Ari), Owen (Erika), Ethan (Kelli), Hudson, Georgia (Ray), Brandon, Logan and Reagan, great grandkids Eli, Maeve, Mila, Otto, Odin, Bo (due in April), siblings Grace Williams of Troy, OH, Barbara (Larry) Rogers of Sidney, sisters-in-law Betty Morris of Sidney, Mary Turner of Sidney, Lorraine Jones of Sidney, Glenna (Bud) Davis, Jane (Dee) Wilson of Sidney and Judy Jones of Hillsboro, OH, brothers-in-law Earnie (Peggy) Jones of Waynesfield, OH and Jim (Betty) Jones of Sidney, a special friend Linda (Tim) Rodeheffer of Sidney and many nieces and nephews.

Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, daughter Mindy, brother Chuck, brothers-in law Gary Williams, Arnold Jones, Bob Morris, Oren Jones and Franklin Woods and a sister-in-law Lola Woods.

Nancy was a graduate of Sidney High School. She was a member of New Life Church in Port Jefferson and she retired from Copland after 35 years. Her greatest joy was her grandkids and great grandkids rarely missed one of their sporting events. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She will be missed by all who love her.
