Michael Scott Wisecup

MICHAEL “SCOTT” WISECUP, 59, of Sidney passed away Friday, August 18, 2023 at 4:06 PM at Grandview Medical Center in Dayton. He was born on November 19, 1963 in Sidney, Ohio, the son of James and Keitha (Cavinder) Wisecup. On August 23, 2013, Scott married the former Marie Jones, who survives.

He is survived by seven children, Caress (Greg) Baker, Robin (Cody) Thompson, Nathanael (Carolyn) Wisecup, Ishiah Wisecup, Coty (Brittney) Niswonger, Ivan Wisecup and Michael “Scotty” (Christiana) Wisecup; sixteen grandchildren and two siblings, Laura (Bill) Scott and Tim (Tammy) Wisecup. Scott was preceded in death by sister, Robin Wisecup, maternal grandparents, Ivan and Murrel Cavinder and paternal grandparents, Myron and Lou Wisecup.

Mr. Wisecup was employed by Stolle Corporation as a Machine Operator for over 20 years. He enjoyed fishing and gardening in his spare time. Scott loved listening to gospel music and he loved the Lord. He attended Russell Road Church in Sidney.  He never knew a stranger that he did not know. Scott was a kindhearted soul which his family and friends will miss.

Funeral Services will be held Friday August 25, 2023 at 2 PM at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home 302 S. Main Ave Sidney with Rev. Fred Gillenwater officiating. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney, Ohio. Friends may visit from 12 PM until the time of service at the funeral home.
